When it rains, I have problems with lots of water coming in on the drivers side floor from behind the kick panel. I have removed the kick-panel but cannot find the source.

I read in another thread to check sunroof drains, the back window leaking and the third brake light leaking.

The latter two are fine. Where is the sunroof drain? If this isn’t it does anyone else have any suggestions?

The padding stays soaking wet for days and even weeks during rainy times. I don’t want to pull the floor to dry it out until I have found the source of the leak.

Any help would be appreciated.

WHen you look at the *moonroof* it will be in the corners. they run a hose from the corner of the moonroof through the *A* piller. It is possible that the hose is broken or loose. Some of the members havehad compressed air shot through the hose to clear any obstruction. You may want to pull a corner of the headliner to check to make sure that the hose is tight. Be careful because the headliner is glued on and you can crease it if you pull it too much. To check it is to pull a corner and run your hand up there and make sure that the hose is seated properly. If it seated properly, then mostlikely there is obstruction in the hose.

Hope this helps

Aren't there drains for the cowl vents down by the drivers kick panel as well? I always understood the water that came in through the vents at the base of the windshield drained down either side to the drains behind the kick panels. That's where the air from the "vent" part of the AC comes from, although on the passenger side. The water just drains past and out the drains at the bottom.

Maybe your drain is plugged?

Thanks to both of you...

If it doesn't rain today, I'll get out the water hose and wet the windshield really well then the sunroof...
