It was a bit ahead of its time, and the US safety regulations gimped the car and killed its sales



We all know the tragic story.



Though the car was made in Ireland to save costs....truly that was back in the dark ages. In the modern era, it's all about Turkey & South America (and May-hee-coh)



The History Channel had a special a while back about a company which has continued to make the DMC-12 from surplus components and sell them over the years.



Sadly, the components and look bring back bad memories of crappy cars I had from that era.

You know, I almost posted on the name similarity. Guess I didn't need to.



Sigh. How I loathe that music video. John Delorean gets busted for trying to run cocaine, and his DMC goes out of business.
