Has anyone used these on an ST? Just wondered if they are recommended or not by other ST owners. They seem to be "mini-van" or "small SUV" tires, not the "light truck" tires I've previously looked at for my ST. Current ones are Michelin LTX M/S2, which I've liked pretty well (I think this is my second set). Mavis is telling me that Defenders are better because they are a newer model.

Anyone have any input? My St is the 2003 XLT with the part-time 4WD.

PS: Just turned over 200K and still going strong -- love my truck!

Hard to believe Michelin would change the name of one of the most highly regarded LT tires ever. Defender LTX/MS is supposedly an improved LTX/MS2. Search, lot's of info on line.

No, I'm using Latitude Tour's and am convinced there is no smoother or quieter tire for street use. Considered the LTX M/S or MS2, but prefer softer sidewalls with more flex for added comfort. Latitude is a P (Passenger car) tire whereas the LTX is an LT (Light truck) tire with stiffer sidewalls, hence a firmer ride.
