for the vets- I need a copy of my DD214, but I have mine packed away in storage until we build our house.

Where do I get a copy- VA website, county clerk of courts, do not remember

If you recorded your DD214 at your courthouse you can get a copy there. Procedure may be different in Illinois. Otherwise order a copy through the VA website. Takes a few weeks tho.

I live in IL also. If you filed a copy here with your local county clerk/courthouse, then you can get one there. If you came back to IL right after discharge, then the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs should have a copy. Check with them at your local ILDVA office:
