what is the best way to lift the front end of my st. my friend recomended getting longer swing arms and longer shocks. but i have also heard that you can just torque the torsion bars for a couple of inches. i have also thought of putting the leaf springs in the back on top of the axle instead of beneath them. what is the best thing for lifting the front and is placing the springs on top of the axle safe?

You mean a spring over axel on the rear? That would get you 4 or 5 inches of lift in the back. You can't get that much out of the torsion twist for the front. You are a 4 x 4 . . . your options are either a 3" PA body lift or a 4" Suspension superlift. The superlift kit would have new springs for the rear.

Shocks will NOT lift the truck.....

You can crank in the torsion bolts for a 1.5-2 inch lift in the front..

The rear you can get a set of $60.00 shackles and raise it 2 inches...

Dont do the add on springs, they are a cheep fix and a rig job..
