Muffler Failure

My muffler decided to increase it's LOUDNESS....just when I need to leave on a trip.

Does driving it with this increase in tone, cause any problems other than monotony from the drone for 3 hours ? Can't fix it this week...Hate to use a non-hauling vehicle. :cry:



What would be a good replacement ? Magnaflow ?

2005 ST with V-6 auto

Other than the noise, it shouldn't cause any more harm in the short time before you replace it.



As for said replacement: I'd suggest a Flowmaster Delta Flow 50-Series. I had one on my 2004 Sport Trac Adrenalin and loved it.

A Walker 21478 is a direct replacement. I replaced mine last year. I ran the old one with a 2-inch gap in the seam of the muffler for 6 months.
