about a year ago i was riding EMS for my town. We heard over the police radio that they had complaints of a man operating a lawnmower in the downtown region. sure enough, we had to take a ride and saw the guy with the police stopping him. He knew he was going to the bar to get tuned up, so he loaded the lawnmower in the back of his truck, went to the bar. when he came out all oiled up, he left the truck there and started driving the lawnmower home. still got a DWI, but hey, i give the guy some credit.

And of course, there's the now-famous case from northern MN of a guy arrested for driving his motorized La-Z-Boy while intoxicated...

omg.. i called the cops on a guy going this near my house last night. it was hilarious!!!! he had just bought it at home depot and he didn't have a truck to drive it home with so he just decided to hop on and drive it a mile back to his house down the road and through intersections. Cops and dispatch didn't even believe me at first haha

Update on the guy in the motorized La-Z-Boy--the chair has sold in a police auction for $3700...
