I just picked her up last Friday. An '06 Yamaha V-Star 650 Custom. Rides really good. When I was looking, I saw the 1100, but I figured I would go with the 650 due to price. And the fact that the 650 has enough get up and go to handle all 170 lbs of me on it! I can only imagine the 1100.

I'm very jealous, Mike. I have been eyeing up the VStar 650 Custom since last season. With the gas prices going up...I keep trying to convince the wife this would be a great way to save money spent on gas. In fact, I put together a PowerPoint presentation (check in out in my library) in an attempt to convince her. I will wear her down later this year or next year. Or I'll just buy it an chalk it up to an early mid-life crisis purchase. Is this your first bike? How does it ride? How tall are you?

Jeff that is awesome. My wife would give me a dirty look if she saw that. It took me 2 years to finally talk her into it. My first bike was an '01 Suzuki GZ250. It did its job well. The ride is GREAT compared to what I had. I'm about 6 foot tall, so my legs a just a little cramped, but nothing major. Good luck to you on your mission.
