Name that thing that shouldn't be hanging there...

There is a small line with a cap that looks like it should be plugged to something hanging out of my front passenger wheel well. I noticed it after having my brakes done this weekend. Thoughts on what it could be or where to plug it back up?

It goes to the a ball that is inside the fender, I am drawing a complete blank right now for what is called. I think it is a vacuum for the A/C possibly. But it is a plastic ball with 2 hoses attached. Well in your case only one is attached. It is up front near the fog lights behind the inner wheel cover.

IT connects to a white or clear line UNDER the hood on the other side by the ac on the passenger side........ IT is for the dash vacuum controls..

It connects to the white line coming from the AC, then this end is supposed to go somewhere but I can't tell where..

Check below the alternator for a canister about 2" in diameter.

No luck as of yet. It was dark by the time I got home yesterday, I tried to look this morning to no prevail. I'm going to look it over at lunch.
