Need Help Evaluating Tire Quote

I have received the following quote for a set of four BFG Radial Long Trail T/A (255/70R16) OWL/109S' and would like your opinions ...



Tire 107.95 + 15.24 (Install, valve stem, balance & lifetime rotation) = 123.19 ea

123.19 X 4 = 492.76 + 1.68 (Shop fee) = 494.44 + 7% tax = 529.05 total.



Is this a good deal?

I checked tires.com and they are currently selling the same tires for $128 each with free shipping and $50 mail in rebate on a set of 4. Valve stems are an additional $12 but I don't think there is any tax. The total is $474 after rebate. If you can get the shop to install them for the same price if you bring your own tires this is a better deal but it's up to you. Of course you probably won't get the lifetime balancing and rotating.



For the $40 more it might be easier to have the shop do it all...

I would check walmart or sams club. I got the BFG Land Terrain 265/75/16 for 460.00 total. That includes mounting, balancing, road hazard and free lifetime rotation.
