Kailua Kona, Hi
I had a brake line rupture while pulling out of a garage. (Ya I know, very LUCKY I was not on the road when this happened. This is a picture of the left front wheel.

[Broken External Image]:

I had my installer send me new brake lines and I am going to replace them myself. I am wondering how this connection works?

[Broken External Image]:

Believe it or not my installer installed these brake lines allowing them to rub the inside of the tire when turned all the way over in either direction, so the other side is in the same condition, just not ruptured yet.

Input on the connection and any brake system topic related is needed. Thanx :)

The nut is part of the solid brake line, you turn it to the left to loosen it from the flexible line.

The metal clip holds the flexible line in the bracket it is mounted on.

Is that what you are asking or am I missing something???

Nope Coastie you hit it 100% correct.....

Disconnect the top nut, then the clip and your done...

Ooohh, that makes sense.

I see threads inside of the new flexible hose connection (on my desk) which means the solid brake line mounts inside of that. Sound right?

Thank you Coastiejoe.

Snooze,

Yes.

Thank you :)

Can you believe he let the brake lines rub the tire.. I noticed that they touched, but thought that since they were steel braided lines and they could take some rubbing, but I guess they got to much.

Josey, Click on his profile, It is a special coil over Lift kit....

My brother had the same thing happen on his lifter Ranger. Twice. I figured he would have learned the first time lol...
