I just put in a new rebuild transmission and now when running 50 I am sitting at 3000 rpms and it just don't seem right to me. Anyone know if that is right. No lights or code

Do you have OD OFF? May not be shifting above 3rdGear.
Do you have an OBD2 scanner that will read the ProprietaryFord Transmission codes?
If so you can use it to tell which gear the Transmission is in while your driving down the road.
I use an OBDLink# MX+ via BlueTooth with a DroidPhon & the OBDLink App (~$100);
their are many cheaper\lesser & much more expensive options for OBD2 scanners,
just want to make sure the one you get will read ProprietaryFord codes in addition to StandardSAE.

Sounds like Over Drive not working to me. Just my 2 cents for RPMS.
