Those are the dimentions for my box. And it is 36" long so that it fits without any special construction to get around the rear window motor. So it sits offset on the drivers side.

None basicly.

The subs have a grill ring though to allow them to still move without hitting the seats.

I bought a set of earthquake 10" shallow mounts . the mounting depth is only 2 11/16". I'm building a custom box similar to yours but I don't want the subs to be offset to the driver's side. Do you think that's possible? Another crazy though I had was I want to dynamat the back wall of the truck and instead of putting a back on the box, seal the box to the back wall of the truck and use that as the back. What do you think?

I don't think you could get away without offsetting them. The window motor sticks out pretty far, but it might be possible.

I asked about sealing a box to the backwall also and was told by many who know way more about car audio than I do that it was a bad idea. The reason being that the body will actually flex decreasing the output. I never tried though to prove them right or wrong.

:cool:JDBoxes...do you have the dimensions for the area on the box..on the back side...right on top of the 19"? Is that area built to fit it around the rear window motor? How much does a box like this one you posted costs?
