Well, Since the dealer replaced my brake pads 6K miles ago due to a bad caliper, ( mind you I replaced my pads with the o4 style at about 20K) They got the truck back today. I was making a grinding noise. Well it turns out the Crappy (motorcraft) pads they put on cracked and failed...

After a little "talk" to the service manager, They clean cut the rotors, installed "Ford" boxed pads and Flushed the brake system all No charge !!!......

Glad to have it back, I haven't driven it for 2 weeks..LOL...

And guess what I did, Drove it home from the dealer and parked it on the driveway and got the escort ready for work..LOL

:unsure:I am going to have my brakes checked for wear for the first time next week at 60K. I plan to have my independent mechanic tdo the work. Any suggestions as to what kind and brand of pads to use?

I like Wagner personally...

Bendix is the manufacturer that makes fords OEM equipment...

Just be careful what quality level you purchase, ASK before you buy !!!

Most manufactures now make 3 Lines of parts.. Good better and best
