Hi,

new member here, just purchased a 2 owner 2001 sport trac with 54k on it.

while trying to locate the code for the keypad i found an insurance

card for the original owner behind the glovebox.

with that i was able to get a phone number and low and behold he was happy to

hear from me and still had some paperwork for the truck and is sending it out

to me this week.

unfortunately he gave most of the paper work to the second owner who didnt pass

it on to the dealer when he traded it in this includes all maintenance paperwork

owners manual and information on the lojack and magellion GPS.

he was able to remember 4 digits of the keypad code but i have not been able to get

it to work yet so maybe the key pad itself is bad.

either way this is just an introduction

and below is a link to a truck photo

Welcome, and be warned...this site is addictive! Enjoy your new (to you) Trac. If you are good to her, she'll be good to you. I looked up how to change the entry code on the keypad, but unfortunately, you need the factory code to do so...

Welcome,

You need 5 numbers for the door code....

Good luck withe the truck. There is a way to find the factory code on the truck to replace the door code if needed.... Just ask....

This Site is great....

Also hang around as we have local meets and events throughout the year....

[Broken External Image]: Welcome. Like Bart said this site is very addictive...and costly too when you start doing mods[Broken External Image]:, but that's the fun of it all IMO. Enjoy and don't hesitate to ask for help or give help to others....pretty good bunch of people here.

Oh and post some pics of your Trac!!![Broken External Image]:

thanks for the welcome guys, PO of my truck did just about everything there was do to

so i will be limited but one thing for the future is a slight lift.

im thinking 2-3" suspension and slightly larger tires as i dont want to go too big.

my neighbor with the F150 just gave me his most recent issue of trucking magazine

man is there a lot of aftermarket things available.
