New Module

I just had the 4x4 module replaced on my 01 Trac. I debated about searching for a used one or buying one on-line and doing it myself. With snow in the forecast, I opted to just have the Ford dealership do it.



$199 for the part

$79 for labor



$278 plus tax for everything.

I have to replace mine this week. Not to make you feel bad but I wish you would have posted here before you had the dealer do it. We could have saved you $79 because it is literally 2 screws and 2 wire harnesses to replace the module.



The good thing is at least it is done and you don't have to worry anymore.

I agree with George that it is an easy fix. I think I got my module form a dealer last year for about $160 dollars too. Ten minutes later I had it installed.

Why did you have to replace it? I am having issues with no 4hi or lo lights and ST will not come out of 4X4 unless I disconnect the battery. Thanks.
