Well, my new 5.4 arrived at 2PM yesterday at MCLAUGHLIN FORD. By 5 pm they had most of front end removed. As of 11am, they were getting the last few connections removed and should have my old motor out by lunch. I'm hoping they will have the new motor prepped and ready to install by morning. If things work well, I should have my truck back by Thursday. Let's hope......

I had one van '78 dodge. From that pic, that is why I said I would never own another. to much trouble to work on.

Ouch, that looks brutal. Glad I'm not involved in putting that humpty-dumpty back together.

And I thought the ST was cramped under the hood.

Don't they clean the floors at that shop? What a friggin' mess!

Agreed. You might have to get your TC, as it looks like your van bled out on the operating table.

Looks like the van just went......

I remember the days of looking on my driveway and seeing that and going ... DAM.... now i got to put it all back together... LOL

Really...you better check on that. Right now Ford is offereing a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty on engines and trannies regardless if they are for commercial use or not...heck I even got a $100 Visa card from them as part of a rebate.

It was the dealer that actually informed me about it. I'll have to go through the endless stack of papers on my desk and dig out the flyer.
