I found an oem cover that has never been used....The guy wants best offer....what do you think I should offer him?

Is it close enough to go get it? Brand new or a few years old? Where has it been stored? Take all of those into consideration. I bought one that had been on an 2001 and had been stored in a tin shed and the kid didn't have a key to match the locks, paid $175 for it. If it is in good shape and has been stored inside out of the weather I would offer at least $250 and go from there. If he's ok with the price good, if not haggle with him to see what works for the both of you.

Oh, and try to get a key to match the locks if possible.

The guy says it is brand new in the box....I sent him a message asking how much he was thinking as not to low ball him.

Yeah he wanted $800 cdn for it....I can get an aftermarket one that looks better for less.....

Kegger, you could buy a new Advance cover for that. $800 cdn or American is dreaming. Keep watching the "Swap & Sell Board", they are posted on a regular basis.

I bought my OEM cover from another member. It had been on his truck a for a month, before he put it in his garage for storage, looked brand new. he gave me a spare key to open it (wasn't chipped, so I couldn't steal his truck). I drove about 2 hours to pick it up and paid him 500 cash.

The stealership wants like 1100 for these things, and if you can get one new, I would offer at least half of what dealership wants if it is in fact New in Box. And keep in mind if the seller has to ship that's going to be about 100 bucks minimum, even if shipped via GreyHound bus, so you'll need to account for that.

Good luck. That's by far the best item I have purchased for my Trac.

Kegger, keep looking there out there used from $100.00 - $200.00. Two things that are important:

1) The (4) mounting brackets and screws that you must have. Ford gets a pretty penny for them.

2) Not as important are the keys. You can go to any good lock smith and they can re-key it to match your ign. key.
