Haha, I guess that's better than letting him drive the ST, which is what I thought your title implied.

Gary D,

He's about two or three, right? My oldest grandson Tyler,3, loves the riding lawn mower,

as I don't yet own a backhoe (until he sees this picture!).

Bob the Builder, Thomas the Tank Engine, and the Discovery Channel's "Mega Machines"

fill up our weekends!

Makes my heart feel Good!

aww, I remember foundly the first time my boss let me run the ditch witch, of course it was after he bought his uncle out and I had worked at the place for 7 years. lol:rolleyes: Ron

tracnblack,

Not to sound preachy or anything, but I am saying this out of concern, so please take no offense on what I am about to say.

A friend/relative by marriage in Florida used to let his kid ride with him on thier riding mower. Mind you, this was many years ago and safety features are now in place that were not there back then, but the child fell off and the mower cut the childs leg off. He has been wearing a prosthetic leg ever since. Still to this day, he will see a dad riding with his child on a mower and he will stop his truck, walk up to the dad, and show him his missing leg.

Some fathers have turned white as a sheet and thanked him for doing what he did, while others tell him to F#$% off and to leave.

Take it for what it's worth.

I am sure riding mowers are safer today then they were 40 years ago, but crap happens.

Tom

Caymen,

Sorry about the late reply to your post, but I have been all over this site, and the internet,

tonight.

Thank you for your concern to my previous post. (Sincerely!!!).

When I ride Tyler on the riding mower, it is purely for recreational purposes only.

There is no grass cutting involved (blades are off, deck is up and in the safety position, etc...).

I have heard, and, unfortunately, seen, the results of many of well meaning, yet, careless

fathers and grandfathers, taking their children out for seemingly harmless fun on a riding

mower, four-wheeler, or the like, and a day that was supposed to be filled with the joy

of a child being around a big "vroom-vroom" (as Tyler calls it), turn into so much turmoil and

tragedy. I'm the guy that won't even cut the grass or weed-eat, unless I have my safety

glasses on. Uncool??? No. Safe???Yes!!! I want to be able to SEE my grandkids grow

up. By the way, at only three, Tyler has, and asks for , his own pair of safety glasses

before we go out on the "Wanm Momer", as he calls it!

Tom, Thank You, again, for your concern. That is again why I love this site so much!

:D
