To recap..I had an issue where i couldnt get the truck to start properly after installing a new stereo, to start i had to pull the neg. from the battery for a quick second, put it back on then quickley start my Trac before in couldnt start it, and would have to repeat the process.... I took my trac to ford who suggested there might be an after market security system locking out my ignition system...I also found other opinions and every thing pointed to the PATS system (exept the ford machanics), except for the fact i could start the Trac with that little battery trick...Finally today i found the little black box causing the problem... It had a big blue shiney ford emblem sticker on it... Turns out my Trac never actually had a keyless entry option.. This box was an aftermarket keyless entry that was infact developed by ford, but not developed well... It was a "rushed" project so to speak. The box would never take a program.. The guy working the parts department said it was near to impossible to program the damn thing... So to wrap up this wall of text, i found my self at car toys have to have them remove it and intstalling a brand new secruity system... Honestly im just glad i can start my truck normally again....:haveabeer:
