New tire question... please help!!

I'm about to buy some new wheels and tires size 285/75/16 which are 33 inch tires on 16 inch rims. They look great, but i want to make sure they fit on my 01 Trac without any major work or need for spacers before i purchase.



Any help would be awesome.

They will fit with a torsion twist and Warrior shackles, not my definition of "major work". Spacers maybe, depends on the offset of the wheels you are getting.

taking them to a tire shop to install.

should i be prepared for a large bill or should i come away still walking straight?

Shouldn't cost much just to put tires on.

When I did the TT and shackles on my old Trac, the shackles cost about $55 and an alignment shop charged me about $180 for the TT, alignment, and shackle install. I didn't do it myself because it was winter at the time.

265 is about as big as you can go with out any suspension changes.

I had 275/70/16 stock ride height... Rubbed on turns and loaded, needed to cut fender plastic...



I think the 285 will be tooo wide and too tall...
