New tires for my STA

OK, so I look under the STA yesterday and noticed that I am showing some belt on both of my left tires on the inside.....So I need new tires. I was thinkin of going to 275 60 20's from the original 255 50 20. It will fill the wheel well a little more and offer a slightly wider tire. Any thoughts, or has any body gone a little bigger on their STA's. TireRack has the Sumitomo's for 150 each. Any thoughts would be a lot of help as I must buy them by this week.

You will be going from a 30.03" tall tire to a 32.5" tall tire. I would have them check the turning clearance on the front. Before buying them.



Might be ok. Our tracs seem to have alot of fender. Check for inside rub, with steering at lock to lock.

I have 265/50-20s on mine and they fit quite nicely and only 1.5% larger for the speedo.

I put lowering springs on it and am still not satisfied with all the wheel well thats exposed. I just want a bigger tire.

Holleymans tires are 30.43" tall. If you shop around you will find several brands with wider tread on 265. That number is the side wall width, not tread width.
