No 4X4....I Know!

2002 Sport Trac. No click from Transfer Case Module when turning on 4X4. Replaced Transfer Case Control Module 5 years ago with Motorcraft. Replaced Transfer Case Motor 1-1/2 years ago. Fuse is good. I also tried unplugging and re-plugging the connectors for the module. Question: Do the Control Modules go bad after 5 years??
