No power on OBD reader

My check engine light is on I took it to AZ and they do not get any power on their OBD reader.

I have had it read @ AZ before when the check engine light came on and it worked fine. Any ideas?

ck the fuse to the cig lighter.

it was blown and as soon as I pushed in the cig lighter it blew again. I think I not using the cig lighter any more Thank you

Eliment in the cig lighter is shorted, cheap fix, OBD port shares the same circuit.

Check for a penny in the cig lighter..... Common..

I guess you don't know that on the short console and many other cars out there ( and kids are good for doing it) The cig lighter is next to the ash tray, a common place people keep change...



There is allways a chance for it to fall in there..

Agree 100% Todd, have actually had that happen on the older cars.

have never seen a short console trac, will never happen to mine.

Nothing in lighter, are there any likely pinch points for this wire?
