My '01 ST's rear interior light has quit coming on when the doors are opened or the dash switch is turned on. It still works when the switch on the lamp itself is turned on.

It seems as if the solution to this problem should be simple, but I haven't been able to figure it out yet. What am I missing?

Try opening the door and move the manual switch a couple of times back and fourth....

I have found the contacts get dirty over time and that helps clean it..

There are 3 lamps in the housing. Two are the map/reading lamps which are controlled by the switches on the housing. The other is the interior lamp which controlled by the doors and the dash switches.

Thanks, everybody! I didn't know that there were three bulbs in the lamp. Sure enough, the center bulb was burned out.

I was going to say that there is a separate feed for the door operated interior lamp,,,

Guess it doesn't matter anymore...
