Noise from front left when making sharp left turn .

When I make a sharp left turn going into or out of a drive way or just making a sharp left turn into a space I hear a very loud clunk from the front left side of my truck. It is not a 4X4. It is just a regular 2001 Sport Trac with nothing special on it. It has 91,000 miles and new shocks. Any ideas? Thank you.

If you drive a 4x4 it sounds like a bad CV joint.

Check your sway bar end link, it could be broken. Could be ball joints too.

Check your wheel bearings. Also check to make sure the brake caliper isn't loose.

Grease the bump stops with bearing grease.

A common issue as mentioned above is the steering stops. They need to be greased as it is a metal to metal contact.
