noisy wiper

Aloha, rainy season in the Islands, (when is it not) so the windshield wipers go shulmp shulmp when they reverse direction. I think it is caused by a rubber bushing on the motor. My question is how to remove the black plastic under the wipers to get to the bushings? Does it just pop up after removal of the wipers? I hope that I don't have to go under the dash, I am too old and fat.

Its the bushings on the wiper transmission. Take them off, A bit tight to snap off, Lubricate and re install.
