Odd problem with interior lights; '10 Adrenalin

I'm not able to turn on the front dome light with the map light switches. It does work using the dimmer switch.
All lights (dome...front & back, mirror puddle lights, etc) come on just fine when opening the doors. The switches are fine because when I have the door open...and the map/dome light is on...I can switch off & on either side, no problem, using either switch. As soon as I shut the door though...and the light goes out as it should, neither side will switch on.
Also, none of the visor mirror lights work. I checked bulbs on those...all fine.

Anyone else have similar issue? I've searched but have found nothing this specific.

I have this same exact issue. I have a 2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Did you ever figure it out?

Unfortunately not. I've just lived with it, using the dimmer switch when needed. Maybe someday i will dig into it further....

Mine does the same thing if the key has been off for a bit. I cycle the key on and offand lights work fine

Mine doesn’t even do that unfortunately. It’s annoying because it’s more than likely something very small but neither of us has figured it out. Maybe one day.
