I'm getting ready to head out (Sept 5ish area) from San Diego to ride the PCH on my motorcycle all the way up into WA hopefully. Any members along the way willing to let me camp in their backyard?



I know a little weird.. but trying to keep costs down. I enjoy camping but don't always like $30 a night just to sleep.



I'll be self sufficent (read leave you alone), or if you want to hang out and drink a few beers and talk trucks/bikes/whatever I'm always down for that too

Cobra: No plans to head that far east.



Uncle_Bob: I don't really have any plans, I'm kind of just winging it, so it depends on time and how everything goes. I hope I dont' have to travel any interstates, but it's all up in the air.

You'll love the PCH this time of year. Big Sur is a very beautiful area. Be sure to stop and soak in all the beauty of the Pacific Coast Redwoods on your way; the Oregon coast is incredibly beartiful as well, and you can rent all types of dune buggies to cruise the Oregon sand dunes. After you go across the Columbia River turn left and head over to Long Beach Washington where you can drive / ride out on to the beach. Then head up into the Olympic Penninsula and have dinner at the Three Crabs Restraunt just outside of Squim; then up to the Olympic National Park out of Astoria, and go over to the Olympic Rain Forest. Have a great trip and keep us posted of your progress if you can.

For what its worth I can vouch for JD. He's good people and you'd enjoy his company... just don’t ask him a lot of electrical questions... I think he gets tired of em quick! :lol:
