Ok,

Since this keeps coming up, and I happen to have over 6 OEM maf's here from 2001-2005 ST's. Including 1 from every year, I decided to Cut one open and show the measurements I obtained.

Follow Pics for description of each: And sizing showed measured.

NOW these are plastic, and I am sure you will get slight variances between ones, But all the ones I measured that I did not destroy were with in .50mm of each other.

This is provided for you to make your own judgments. All the air blockages, chamfers, and size changes is what the benefits of the C&L 73 MM MAF are, IT is smooth all the way through and simply allows better smoother air flow.

Todd,

Just for refrence, I also own one of those Harbr Freight calipers.

Took it to work to check calibration with national standards. It is accurate to .0005". (yes, that is 5 ten thousanths of an inch)

Good to know it is that accurate though... I figured around .005, not .0005... cool to know..
