My wife and I took a charter fishing boat out today for our first time. We had a good time, the fishing wasn't great, but I caught two keepers, and we ended up with a few more because people left them. So we filleted up 6 bass instead of the 2 that I caught.

that sound awesome! i went earlier this summer w/some friends. we went out at orange beach. we had 11 people on our boat including the six of us and our boat came back with around 300 lbs. of fish before filleting. most of it was either red or white snapper (cant remember), some king macrel and a small big eye.

This time we went on one of the large boats, next time we go out it will be a much more personal setup. We had fun, but I think it would be better without 50 other people.

dont you know the first rule about taking pictures with fish? Hold it far away from your body so they look bigger! Geez! Like this.

GPS numbers no, but I can tell you it's the flats on the intercoastal just south of Sebastian Inlet. We caught that 28" trout, 5 reds ranging from 29-33", a 31" snook and some jacks that day. A few weeks later I pulled a 29" trout out again.

It's an AMAZING flat that lots of people overlook because of the inlet. Anytime you want to go, give a holler, we're always up to go.

Took a charter out of Plymouth MA and across the bay a few weeks back. Five of us split four stripers and about fifteen bluefish. Good day and good eating!

We ate hers and mine is on my wall. Those fish we got off Oahu, HI about 25 miles off shore.
