Changed the oil on the new Trac last night. Everything was very easy to get to. The oil filter is much easier to get to up front. Ford even put a thoughtful drip pan dealy to catch the oil drips all over the frame. It was a quick and easy cleanup!

Don't try to change the oil if there is even a breath of wind outside... Learned that lesson last time I changed it in my '07. The oil comes out of the pan, hits a splash shiled that spreads it out into a thin veil directing it downward like a curtain. The breeze picks it up and atomizes it all over the ground. I think I got a bout 3 quarts of Mobil1 on my driveway, and 3 in my oil catch pan....

It is a good design to keep the oil off of the frame and the oil filter location/drain is nicely designed as well...
