I noticed while under my truck that there was oil aroung the pan. Is this just a gasket I need to replace? If so is this difficult to do on my own?

The Lower metal to aluminum pan is only sillycone... Make sure it is not rear main seal or a valve cover leaking down..
Clean the area and look for the fresh leak..
