I started my ST this morning and and the Check Gauge light was on. I then noticed that the oil pressure gauge was showing no pressure.

I turned off the engine, checked the oil and restarted. The gauge was still showing no pressure. After a couple of minutes the oil pressure shot up to the normal range but the neddle was shaking for awhile.

Has anyone ever seen this happen before? Do you think there is anything to worry about? Would the gauge be malfunctioning?

Thanks

Jeff

Yes, it is common pressure sensor failure. Just replace the sensor. It is on the motor block. Driver side towards the front. Our tracs presure fauge is really an idiot light with a needle indicator. Itis either on or off. It really doesnt read pressure.

The sensor can be bought anywhere. They act up in cold weather more than hot. But a common failure on our motors.
