OK to use K&N cleaning kit on S&B Powerstack filter?

Just ordered True-Rev Induction kit from from KKM. I didn't buy the filter service cleaning kit because I have a left over K&N kit from my last vehicle. Does anyone know if the K&N cleaning kit is OK to use on the S&B Powerstack filter?



BTW finally stopped raining around here and I was able to give the ST a good cleaning. Guess more rain is coming this weekend

Should be okay to use it. Don't over-oil it though.

If the new filter is a cotton/gauze filter like a K&N, the K&N cleaner and oil should work fine. As with any cotton/gauze filters do not use compressed air to dry the filter as it most likely will damage the element. As stated do not over oil or the MAS may get oil contaminated.

You will find that "Westley's Bleche White Whitewall Cleaner" works very well for cleaning. I"ve been doing this for years. It is also much cheaper.



I also re-oil the filters with Automatic Transmission Fluid.



Use your nose and eyes and you will figure this out for yourselves.
