So I'm at the dealer today getting the t-stat replaced in my trac, and my friend/salesman waves for me to come and look at something. I get there and he points out at the car hauler out on the street and low and behold... a brand new 2011 silver Sport Trac. Friend asks the truck driver if it was theirs and he says "no, it's going to Prosser, WA." I headed on around and by the time I get around to take a look, he was gone. Bummer. Didn't have any info on it, or if it was sold and on it's way to a new owner or not. It's probably the only time I'll see a brand new and last of a one of a kind in our little town.

BTW, the loan officer tells me that Ford is trying to "replace" the trac with an F-100! ?

The loan officer's full of crap. The F100 idea was scrapped about two years ago. And the Trac that you saw was a 2010. For the Sport Trac's final run, Ford just extended the 2010 production year through November.

yeah my bad on the typo...It was a 2010. Driver even told me. With 0 miles on it! I originally punched in "20110" (fat finger on the [1])...hit the wrong digit backspace! :banghead:



I knew that about the F-100 also, but thought better to just leave that alone and go home.

They even had a site on their computer about the "End of the Sport Trac"... these guys had no clue! again...:banghead:

Dealership sales people, most of them, don't think the buying public has a clue as to what they're buying.....some don't. Had one tell me the Marauder I stopped look at had the Police Interceptor motor with the cop chip........:bwahaha::bwahaha::bwahaha: I told him he was full of sh*t and needed to go back inside and actually learn something about the vehicles he was trying to sell. I got in my Interceptor and left.
