Ok so i need new tires....again. stupid me thought hey the wrangler rt/s that came with the truck were good before so why not again. well I managed to get about 84000kms in three years out of them so I guess I can't complain too much.

So anyone have an opinion on the wrangler all terrain adventure? I'm going to the Goodyear dealer where I bought the last set as the rts I have on now have a ton of tread left and they may give me some sort of deal. That and they have a small rebate on four new tires $60.

I dont like them..... But everyone is different.

Ditto on the wrangler rts. They stink. No traction, they wear akward with slight mis-alighnment. Goodyear has some good tires. I sujest getting another type. Even if you go with goodyear.

The wrangler rts is a cheap tire. Price them against any other tire in its class. The price is even cheap. IMO, I think they were developed for the purpose of OEM. After the firestone issue.

I took mine off my '04 in the first year. IMO, junk. Spend a little more $$$ and shop around. I cant tell you what to buy, because when I switched. I went to 18" wheels.

Started with the BFG long-trail TA's. Great improovement. Now Im running Cooper discoverer HT plus. They dont come in 16". The BFG's do.

The long trail ta, and the yokohama ht/s. I like them both.

I liked the GOODYEAR Fortera's that came on my '07. I have BFG Long Trail T/A's and I don't care for them as well.

Goodyear DuraTrac's get pretty good reviews. Appear to be very aggressive and best suited for off road.

I like the Wrangler SRAs on my '94 Explorer so much I just bought a set for my son's '97 Mountaineer and another for my '02 Sport Trac. Sears had a deal on top of Goodyear's rebate. Haven't put them on the ST yet. The Firestones on it have a lot of miles left, but suck in the winter. On the Explorer the SRAs performed very well on snow and ice. My only experience is on the road, not off. I think even Goodyear doesn't rate them very high for off road.

I just got back from goodyear and well they are no help lol. I've decided to not go with them again (goodyears) I did however find some good reviews on a set of motomaster tires on sale at Canadian tire. All the reviews ive read seem to be good a four outta five or better. Did some reading and found out they are made by cooper tires. Ive had cooper tires on a previous car and they were good. Im going to go up to a 265/70 r16 since its only about $40 more. And they come with a five year no questions asked warranty!
