OT: Aspiring Blogger....

Okay, I just started, and have blogged for a couple of days. I figured since I liked to rant, why not do so in my own blog.

I dont see the point with these blogs. No offense to you, but who really wants to read about what you ( or anyone) did all day? Someone must like them enough to make them so popular though.

I TJR, for one, am quite interested in other people's daily rants. As an English major about to graduate, and a Literary nut, I love reading everything I can get my hands on. I blog also, but now I'm afraid to post the link on here!!

My wife and I have one because after we graduated from college we moved away from everyone and everything we knew. So now if any of our family or friends want to see what we are up to they can just check our blog. It doesn't replace phone calls to close friends and family, but if it isn't a big deal then people will just see it on the blog.



Doesn't hurt that I was a CS Major either so a website is required for me

Blog can be so much more then just a dairy. Not too long ago several bloggers broke major news stories before any major news agency, including AP and Reuters, was able to get it on the wire. Blogs can also 'force' people to be more honest in influential positions, all it takes is a few people to post something for it to snowball into a beast.



I blog myself, been at it for 3 years I think. While I do rant, rave, and bore on mine, it is also the launch pad for more info about my truck, modifications to it, and other various projects that I work on.

GccST, There isn't much of a "point" to my blogging, other than a place to sound off, and if people want to listen, that's cool. What a boring world this would be if everything we did had to have a point.
