OT-Crossbow purchase

I'm thinking of buying a HORTON explorer HD 150lb crossbow and was wondering if anyone has one or knows anything about crossbows and has something to offer. Is this bow adequate for killing deer? Also any pointers for a first time user would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had a Horton Supermag 150 lb. draw. It could bury a field point 6" in an oak. It'll take care of a deer no problem.

I'm sure you know already know, but make sure it's legal in your state. In CT, you have to handicapped to use one. Good hunting!
