Read all about it:

P.S. My employer did the same thing last week for "highly compensated employees"...it's like a pay-cut, IMHO.

I don't even get a 401(k) match. If I contribute into the 401(k), I do all on my own money.

If your employer raises your hospitalzation contribution, that is a pay cut too.

My employer reduced health benefits, to get the same as before I have a higher deduction from my paycheck, and I don't doubt they'll consider to stop the 401(k) match program...

Iam in the same boat as, Caymen, I was get no matching to my 401K, either....

That was on a union job...

I had to say that for the benifit of those that think unions rip off the company...

I can't complain. My employer contributes 50 cents on the dollar...up to 6% of my pay. I am putting 10% of my check in each week. It's really kind of neat how the money can build up over a short period of time.

I used to get dollar for dollar up to 6% and a retirement account on my last job. Per weekk, I would put 10% of my pay and add the companies 6%. That is 16% of a job that paid $750.00/week. At the same time, I had to pay out about $200.00/month for medical and dental coverage. That was non-union

My new job, I get no company matching, but my benefits are free and I get a retirement. Union job.
