Renalt Encore and Renalt Alliance were both MT Cars of the year.

Mainly, the car of the year crown is nothing more then an awaed for the newest car on the market or something greatly improved. The Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe was the MT Car of the year in 1987.

As for the truck of the year, whatever is the newest vehicle out there will win.

Ok, they picked a PT Cruiser as car of the year in 2001. So consider this if you are impressed with a Civic winning this year. :)

The Ridgeline already wont the truck of the year last year...didn't they?

I know they won something and the readers were all over Motor Trend about that decision.

There is nothing wrong with a PTCruiser. A guy at work has over 150,000 miles on his. First year model. Hasn't spent a dime on repairs.

Same here, Caymen. I have a guy at my work with a PT, 60K miles, and he has had tranny serviced twice, one time totally replaced. How does the saying go: "Individual results may vary!"

Go to the PT Cruiser forums.... tons of posts about folks with numerous problems, transmission being the worst. They are nothing but Neons, so quality is not job 1.

Darin, it's funny how you can reword what you just said:

Yup. Just like the Chevy HHR is based off a Cobalt.

I rented a PT Cruiser while on a job. Youu would not beleve the amount of thumbs up I got. It was crazy.
