OT: Lost America - Really COOL Night-time Photos

I had a lemon-peeler bike. I also remember a lot of those cars from my childhood. Back then those cars were cool, but they really look weird today. Those "wings" on the rear of cars were a dangerous fad. Dad had a 1962 Chevy Impala with them. He said it was hard to keep in control in windy rainy conditions. We hydroplaned and spun out once on the interstate in a driving thunderstorm in Albequerque and went down a 20-foot embankment. Dad was going 70 mph, and we are lucky to be alive, since there were no seatbeats back then.

The "Salton Sea Trailer" photo was used for the cover of Stan Ridgway's CD "Holiday in Dirt" and the "Cougar" photo was used for the back of the CD.



In case you don't know who Stan Ridgway is he was the lead singer from Wall of Voodoo.
