I have to replace both outer tie rod ends on my van before new tires. I seems pretty simple, especially since they are worn... Can anyone help on how to do it myself. The auto shops want 350$...... I can get moog ends for 32 each. 35$ for an alignment... Sure beats 350$........ Thanks

It should be pretty straight forward. I am not sure of the design. If it is a slip on type or threaded. If it is threaded, loosen the locking nut slightly an then remove the end. Spin the new one on and tighten the nut.

Caymen is correct. That is about all there is to it. But when you take off the old one, count the turns and put the new one on the same number of turns. That will bring the alignment close to where it was. Still you need to get an alignment with the new tires.
