hi guys I have a 02 trac my outside temp on my overhead instrument cluster stopped working anyone know how to fix this any help would be appreciated thanks

There's a little resistor on the circuit board in the overhead console that likes to fail on older STs. It can be fixed by jumpering the bad resistor with a strand of wire and soldering it in place. Maybe someone has a link to how to do the repair.

Sometimes the resister just melts off, Just re solder and all done.

Before you attempt a repair, try pressing the Mode button a few times and see if you can get the Temp to display. There are about 3-4 Mode settings and one of them is OFF. Mine accidently got switched off and I thought it was broken for about 2 months. Then I pressed the Mode button and everything worked fine....don't know how or who switched it to OFF Mode?
