OVERHEAD CONSOLE PROBLEMS

I have a trac with the overhear console w/temp and compass, and the light went out. I tried replacing the bulb to no avail because from the looks of things there is a brass or copper ring that makes contact with the assembly that is broke. When i say broke i mean split in a couple places so i guess current is not going through. Is it possible to replace or repair this or what should i do . Thanks Shannon

Try pressing the "Mode" button a few times while the ignition is on. The Mode switch has different settings including "Off". Mine went off for about 3 months before I just hit the Mode button and it popped back on and has been running great ever since.
