Which would be best with having a TT/SL and also with fairly aggressive driving on curvy roads and highway driving and also in wet conditions? Just curious as to if you guys experience a better ride, traction, and handling with P rated tires or LT (C Rated preferably). Thanks! DD ST

Pictures welcome! Please indicate what rating you have and size if you post pics!

'Spirited driving' in a lifted truck? In that case, get LT....wide LTs at that. They have stiffer side walls and won't flex as much during those 'spirited' corners. The downside is reduced ride quality, as the sidewall doesn't flex. Reduced feel at the limit is also a problem.

I have LT rated, they do have a stiffer ride compared their P rated counterparts, but hey the ST is a truck, might as well run truck rated tires, albeit they may be slightly overkill.

The difference in P and LT tires is their load ratings. LT tires are designed to handle heavier loads and usually have additional plies for added strength.

If you never or rearely ever haul anything over about 500 lbs, you could get by with a larger P tire, but if you plan on ever using your ST as a truck and intend to haul heavier loads on a regular basis, stick with the LT tires.
