Steve, on your TC,,,, the book says it can only handle 1600 lb load. I have cut my van stuff down as far as I can and it's still about 2000. I still want one,,, what do you think?
What in the world does a locksmith carry that totals 2000 lbs??? I have never weighed mine with the "big load" But I have made it squat really bad. It gets pretty slow/sluggish with the big load. It stops fine, handles reasonably well so personally 400 extra lbs wouldn't bother me though.
you would be surprised how much locks weigh, 3 key machines, shelving, 2 LARGE extra batteries for my converters, keys out the a$$,(over 300 different keys X 10-20 each) tools,,, my fat a$$ and bunches more. My van used to weigh 8250 fully loaded.
Oh we sell Master locks to a local trucking company and I get to deliver them. A case is like a chunk of lead! IDK, toting a big load once a week is not the same as doing it everyday. Ford will frown on a 2000 lb cargo if warranty comes into play. Maybe trimming inventory and the converter/batteries could get you down closer to 1600 lb. Just get a loooooooong drop-cord!:bwahaha: An 08 E250 weighs 5195 lbs so you were carrying 3055 lbs of stuff? Guess you have already trimmed it down to the basics.
Let me prepare you for something else ......................... the stares. I was in Statesville this morning and stopped @ McDonalds. This Toyota was in the parking lot, across the isle from me. The people driving in and out were staring at MY van instead of the Redneck Girl Toyota .......:cry::cry: I think I could also hear faint banjo music in the background!
