Paint Matched Trim

After painting the stock trim a gloss black, I felt a little unsatisfied and decided to go all in: after about a week of sanding, prepping, and $250 worth of paint and 2K clear coat, I finally paint matched my trim, and I am beyond pleased with the results.

Looks great! Iam doing the same soon. Off the subject but could I ask, what lift kit and how high you went and rim and tire size?

While this may not be the exact companies, I have these three components to lift my trac about 7 inches in the front and 5 in the rear. The spindle also requires the front rotors from a ford ranger, and the grinding of a bump stop since they are basically ranger spindles. My tires are 35x13.50r15 with a wider offset wheel, so I had to do a lot of trimming, but i’m fine with the result. I also believe the rough country ranger lift kit can be installed on tracs, but I haven’t seen any videos describing the process of installing it.

Fine Silver Birch Metallic B/C 59/WA926L for GM

I ordered about 3 11 oz. cans on this websites, and the color was incredibly close, Of course, since the paint is being applied to plastic trim instead of metal it will vary. The key in having the project come out similar to your paint is in the 2k clear coat. It comes with a hardener. Of course, lots of sanding to to completely l removed the rough plastic textures. The use of high fill primer really helped too. I recommend watching some videos about the 2k clear coat if you’re serious about this project.

Thanks for the info. I have the 2-3" Torch SporTrac kit and I'm deciding on a tire size. Thank you for your help.

Looks excellent, one day I'm going to two tone my white 02, black on lower and original on top.
