Has anybody tried painting their gray bumpers to match the rest of their paint? Just curious if it starts flaking after a while.

Several have.



If you do a search you should find several messages that give the details you are after.



Some have sanded them smooth and others have used a special paint to act as a primer and then simply painted the bumpers and side molding to match..

Todd Z,,did his in black gloss. He used adhesion promoter and several coats. Looks good and he said it is holding up well. I dont see why the same could be done with boddy color.
