Wanted to share since black third brake lights seem to be very uncommon.

Used an AMI aluminum cover, prepped, primed, and sprayed Duplicolor Trim Paint.

Considered using the Recon LED light until reading about many reliability issues.

Thanks guys, always thought this was the ST's biggest eyesore.

Black powder coated also available (54006K). Shop around. :supercool:

I was never a big fan of them....I like the look but don't like how it dosen't cover the entire light at the top and sides.
 
Now deciding VHT Nite-Shades or satin black. Thanks for the motivation Eddie. LOL

I just put NiteShades on the third brake light a couple weeks ago. Looks good with two light coats.
